# Additional Settings

> Enable URL shortening and message expiry for an RCS campaign on the OneXtel portal.

The **Additional Settings** section of the campaign creation form contains two
optional features: **URL Shortener in Body** and **Message Expiry**. Click
**Additional Settings** in the campaign form to expand it.

## URL Shortener in Body

Shortens URLs contained in the message body, optionally capturing the
recipient's location when the short link is clicked.

  <Step title="Enable the shortener">
    Select the **URL Shortener in Body** checkbox. The **Short URL** dialog
    opens.

  <Step title="Configure the short URL">
    Enter the following fields:

    | Field | Description |
    | - | - |
    | **URL** | Select the long URL to be shortened from the dropdown list. |
    | **Get Location** | Select the checkbox to capture the recipient's location when the short link is clicked. |
    | **Shorten all URLs in the message** | Select the radio button to shorten every URL present in the message body. |
    | **Shorten URLs in specific variables only** | Use this option to shorten only the URLs placed in selected variable fields. |

    The dialog also shows the **Selected Template** and the variables
    available in it (e.g., `link`).

    Click **Short** to apply, or **Cancel** to close without shortening.

## Message Expiry

Sets when your RCS message should expire. Once expired, the message is revoked
and cannot be delivered.

  <Step title="Enable message expiry">
    Select the **Message Expiry** checkbox. The **Message Expiry Settings**
    dialog opens.

  <Step title="Choose the expiry type">
    | Expiry type | Behavior |
    | - | - |
    | **Duration from send time (TTL)** | Message expires after a set duration from the time it's sent. |
    | **Absolute expiry time** | Message expires at a specific date and time. |
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set the duration (TTL)">
    For TTL expiry, enter the expiry duration value in **Duration (TTL)**
    (e.g., `3.5s`, `30m`, `2h`, `1d`) and choose the unit of time from the
    **Time Unit** dropdown (Seconds, Minutes, Hours, Days).

  <Step title="Save">
    Click **Save Expiry Settings** to save the configured expiry settings, or
    **Cancel** to close the dialog without saving changes.
