# RCS Templates

> Create and manage pre-approved RCS message templates in the OneXtel platform.

<Note>
  Before you write a template, check the
  [template guidelines](/guides/rcs-platform/template-guidelines) — category rules, the 70% static
  text requirement, and the checks that cause rejection.
</Note>

The Templates section manages predefined message formats for OneXtel RCS
communication. Templates ensure consistency, compliance, and faster
delivery of business messages. RCS templates help businesses create
structured, interactive messages that are reviewed and approved before
being sent to end-users, ensuring both quality and compliance.

<Note>
  This page covers creating and managing templates in the portal. For
  using a template inside a campaign (variable mapping, recipients,
  scheduling), see [RCS Campaigns](/guides/rcs-campaigns/overview).
</Note>
