# Campaigns

> Create campaign containers and send bulk Campaign SMS from the OneXtel platform.

The **Campaign** module lets businesses connect with customers through personalized, rich messaging, with automation, segmentation, and analytics features that support planning and delivery of targeted campaigns. The module allows message scheduling, audience targeting, and monitoring of delivery and engagement metrics to improve communication strategy and campaign effectiveness.

A campaign is a named container that groups related messages for reporting. Create a campaign first in the **Campaign** menu, then send bulk messages against it using **Campaign SMS** under **+New SMS**.

## Add a campaign

    Click **+Add Campaign**.

  <Step title="Enter campaign details">
    In the pop-up, enter the **Campaign Name** and a **Description** for the campaign.

    Click **Add**. The platform adds the campaign.

## View campaigns

    In the left pane, click **Campaign**.

    Click **Show Campaign**. The platform displays a list of campaigns and their details.

## Edit a campaign

    In the left pane, click **Campaign**, then click **Show Campaign** to display the list of campaigns and their details.

    In the **Action** column, click the ellipsis (**...**) icon.

    Make the changes and click **Update**. The platform updates the campaign.

## Delete a campaign

    In the left pane, click **Campaign**, then click **Show Campaign** to display the list of campaigns and their details.

    In the **Action** column, click the **Delete** icon.

  <Step title="Confirm">
    In the warning pop-up, click **Delete**. The platform deletes the campaign.

## Send Campaign SMS

Send bulk SMS campaigns using multiple variables for message personalization, importing recipient numbers from an Excel sheet. Reach up to 2,000,000 recipients for a single-part SMS, up to 1,000,000 recipients for a two-part SMS, and so on — recipient limits decrease as message parts increase.

    In the left pane, click **+New SMS**, then click **Campaign SMS**.

  <Step title="Download and fill the sample file">
    Click **Download Sample File**, select the preferred file format, and click **Save File**. Enter all required information in the appropriate columns of the Excel sheet.

  <Step title="Upload the file">
    Click **Choose File** and upload the completed Excel file (maximum size 200 MB).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select campaign and Sender ID">
    Select the appropriate campaign name from the dropdown list, then select the Sender ID from the dropdown list.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select the contact group">
    Select the **Group** of contacts to send to.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Remove duplicates (optional)">
    Select **Remove Duplicate Numbers** to refine recipient data automatically.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter message content">
    Enter the SMS content, or enter the template content and click **Select**. Select a language from the dropdown list.

  <Step title="Insert a URL (optional)">
    Click **Insert URL** to include a link in your template.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set message options">
    Select the appropriate options (see table below).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Send">
    Click **Send**. A confirmation pop-up appears with a summary of the message details, including invalid numbers, blacklisted numbers, SMS character count, credits used, DND numbers, and duplicate numbers. Click **Send Now** to dispatch the campaign.

| Allow Multi Part SMS | Messages over 160 characters are split into multiple parts. |
| Allow Unicode | Send SMS in various languages. |
| Send as Flash SMS | Message appears on the recipient's screen rather than in the inbox. |
