# Batching, Scheduling, and Launch

> Split a WhatsApp campaign into batches, set up repeats, choose immediate or scheduled execution, and launch.

The final sections of the campaign builder control delivery timing: **Batching** decides how recipients are grouped, **Repeat Campaign** sets recurring sends, and **Schedule** decides when the campaign starts.

This page follows on from [variable mapping](/guides/whatsapp/campaign-variable-mapping).

## Batching

Click **Batching**. Batching controls how messages are sent to recipients — either all at once or in smaller, scheduled groups (batches). The **Batching Configuration** panel shows the **Total Recipients** count (for example, 19,999) and a **Batches Preview** table that updates as you configure.

Three batching methods are available:

<Tabs>
  <Tab title="All">
    Sends the message to all recipients in a single batch. Best suited for smaller campaigns or when all recipients should receive the message simultaneously.

    * **All** is selected by default.
    * The system automatically creates one batch containing all recipients.

    Example: 19,999 recipients → Batch 1: 19,999 recipients.
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="Split">
    Automatically divides the total recipients into multiple smaller batches (maximum 10). Helps distribute large campaigns over intervals to avoid message congestion.

    <Steps>
      <Step title="Select Split">
        Select the **Split** option.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Set the number of batches">
        Enter the **Number of Batches** (for example, 3).
      </Step>

      <Step title="Set the interval">
        Set the **Interval Between Batches** in `HH:MM:SS` format (for example, `00:30:00` for 30 minutes).
      </Step>

      <Step title="Review the preview">
        The system displays a preview of batches with the recipient count and schedule time.
      </Step>
    </Steps>

    Example: Batch 1 – 6,667 (2:15 PM), Batch 2 – 6,666 (2:45 PM), Batch 3 – 6,666 (3:15 PM).
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="Manual">
    Allows manual configuration of batch size and schedule time. Useful for controlling how and when each batch is sent.

    <Steps>
      <Step title="Select Manual">
        Select the **Manual** option.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Set the batch size">
        Enter the **Batch Size** (for example, 19,999).
      </Step>

      <Step title="Set the schedule time">
        Set the **Schedule Time** manually for each batch.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Add more batches">
        Click **+** to add more batches, if required. The panel shows the total allocated recipients against the total.
      </Step>
    </Steps>

    Example: Batch 1 – 19,999 recipients scheduled for Nov 7, 2025, 02:18 PM.
  </Tab>
</Tabs>

## Repeat Campaign

Click **Repeat Campaign**, then select the **Enable Repeat** checkbox. Repeat campaigns let you schedule recurring campaigns without recreating them each time, ensuring messages are sent consistently based on the selected frequency and duration.

<Warning>
  Immediate Execution does not allow Repeat Campaigns. Use Scheduled Execution when repeats are enabled.
</Warning>

Choose a **Frequency** and configure it as per the campaign requirements:

| Frequency | Description | Configuration |
| - | - | - |
| **Daily** | Sends the campaign every day at the scheduled time. | Select **Daily** under Frequency. Keep **Ends** as `Never` or choose an end date. The Schedule Summary shows "Every day". |
| **Weekly** | Sends the campaign on selected days every week, on alternate weeks, or after a set number of weeks. | Select **Weekly**. Choose the interval (Every, Alternate, or After weeks). Select specific days (for example, Mon, Wed, Fri). The Schedule Summary shows "Every Week". |
| **Monthly** | Sends the campaign every month based on specific dates or days. | Select **Monthly**. Choose the interval (Every, Alternate, or After months). Under **Repeat On**, select Specific Dates or Days of Week, then pick the Days of Week and Week Position (for example, First Monday). The Schedule Summary shows "Every Month". |
| **Custom** | Manually select specific dates and times for the campaign. | Select **Custom**, then click **+ Add Date & Time** to schedule manually. The Schedule Summary shows "Custom — Add specific dates and times". |

Use the **Ends** dropdown to stop the repeat on a given date, or leave it as `Never`. Review the **Schedule Summary** before proceeding.

At the bottom of the Schedule section, three buttons are available:

* **Test** — visible alongside the launch controls for trial sends.
* **Draft** — saves the campaign without sending; it appears on the campaigns dashboard with the `Draft` status.
* **Launch** — starts the campaign per the selected execution type.

<Note>
  The source manual documents the **Launch** action explicitly; the Test and Draft buttons appear in the UI but are not described further in the manual.
</Note>

After launch, track the campaign from the [campaigns dashboard](/guides/whatsapp/campaign-dashboard), where its status moves through `Created` to `Completed`.
