# Zoho CRM

> Send SMS from Zoho CRM leads, contacts, and accounts through OneXtel, manually or automatically via workflow rules.

The Zoho CRM plugin adds OneXtel SMS to your Lead, Contact, and Account modules. Sales users send manually from a record, or you trigger sends automatically from workflow rules. Every send is logged to an SMS Report module for tracking and audit.

## Scope

<CardGroup cols={2}>
  <Card title="Manual sends" icon="paper-plane">
    Send from the Lead, Contact, or Account module with a button on the navigation bar.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Workflow automation" icon="gears">
    Trigger SMS from Zoho workflow rules on record actions.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Template management" icon="table-columns">

## Setup

<Steps>
  <Step title="Install the app">
    Download and install the OneXtel application from the Zoho Marketplace. A callback URL is generated on install — send it to the OneXtel team so delivery reports can be routed back to your CRM.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Configure your OneXtel account">
    Find **OneXtel Account** in the top navigation bar — if it is not visible, click the three-dot overflow menu. Click **Create OneXtel Account** and fill in:

    | Field | Where to find it |
    | - | - |
    | OneXtel Account Name | Any name you choose |
    | Sender ID | Your OneXtel account |
    | API Key | **API → Show API Key** in the OneXtel portal |
    | Entity ID | Your OneXtel account |

    Click **Save**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add your templates">
    Go to the **SMS Template** module and create a template with a name, the OneXtel template ID, and the body text. Use the approved values from your OneXtel account rather than retyping the content.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Note>
  Templates must be registered and approved on the DLT platform **and** present in your OneXtel account before you add them to Zoho CRM. See [DLT registration](/guides/sms/dlt) for context on the approval process.

</Tabs>

## Reporting

Every SMS sent through the plugin creates an entry in the **SMS Report** module, giving you a per-message record for tracking and auditing.

## Requirements

* A Zoho CRM account with permission to install from the Zoho Marketplace.
* A OneXtel account with SMS enabled, plus your Sender ID, API key, and Entity ID.
* DLT-approved templates registered in OneXtel.

## Limitations

* **SMS only.** WhatsApp and RCS are in development — see [Coming soon](/plugins/overview#coming-soon).
* **Zoho CRM API limits apply.** High-volume sends are subject to your Zoho plan's API call limits, which are enforced by Zoho before requests reach OneXtel. See [Zoho's API limits documentation](https://www.zoho.com/crm/developer/docs/api/v7/api-limits.html).
* **Templates are entered manually.** There is no automatic sync from OneXtel, so a template edited in OneXtel must be updated in Zoho CRM too.
