A Virtual Mobile Number (VMN) is a number your customers can text. VMN Configuration lets you attach keywords to that number and forward matching messages to your own endpoint — so a customer texting JOIN to your VMN triggers something in your system. This is the inbound counterpart to sending: campaigns push messages out, VMN keywords pull responses back in.

Add keywords

Keywords must exist before you can bind them to a configuration.
1

Open the Config section

In the left pane, click Config, then select the VMN Configuration tab.
2

Add the keywords

Click + Add Keywords, select the Virtual Mobile Number (VMN) from the dropdown, and enter the keywords you want to capture.
3

Save

Click Add Keywords.

Add a VMN configuration

1

Start a new configuration

On the VMN Configuration tab, click + VMN Configuration to open the Pull SMS Configuration dialog.
2

Select the number and keywords

3

Configure the request

4

Add headers, if required

Enter a header Key and Value and click + to add it, or − to remove one. Use Reset to clear the entered values.
5

Add further configurations, if required

Click + Add More Config to add another configuration block under the same VMN — this is how one number routes different keywords to different endpoints.
6

Create

Click Create.
Because each configuration block binds its own keywords to its own URL, a single VMN can serve several campaigns at once — OFFER to one endpoint, STOP to another — without needing more numbers.
