A WhatsApp campaign sends rich, interactive messages — with images, buttons, and carousels — directly to your customers on WhatsApp, using pre-approved templates through the verified WhatsApp Business API. This page covers the first half of the campaign builder: title, channel, recipients, and sender details. Continue with variable mapping and batching, scheduling, and launch to finish and send.

Recipient options

Below the recipient method, the following options refine the recipient list:

Configure sender details

Click Sender Details and complete the following fields:
1

Select the WABA ID

Select the required WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) ID from the dropdown list, then verify the ID displayed below for confirmation. Each WABA ID is unique to an organization and is used for sending the campaign.
2

Select the template

Choose the desired template from the list. The template is the pre-approved WhatsApp message template used in the campaign — it includes the format, language, and message content. Ensure the selected template is approved and matches the campaign purpose.
3

Select the phone numbers

Select the phone numbers from the dropdown list and confirm the selected number appears in the list below. This dropdown lists the sender’s registered phone numbers associated with the selected WABA ID; messages are sent from this number.
Templates must already be created and approved on the WhatsApp Business Account — the campaign builder only lets you select from existing approved templates.

Next step

Continue to variable mapping to fill the template’s placeholders with static or per-recipient values.
